A Moose A Butterfly

Some of the wildlife you may encounter at camp are moose, deer, black bears, turkies, ruffed grouse, coyotes, beavers, pine martins, fishers, weasels, minks, eagles, varieties of ducks, geese and loons. Look under bird watching for more information.

This is a dream come true for a wildlife photographer or nature enthusiast. The last 1.5 miles of road into the camp parallels the river and the scenery is particularly beautiful and makes for a nice early morning or early evening walk.

Bears and coyotes are very aware of people and stay hidden, so it is a rare treat to see one.

You may easily see wildlife across the river since there are no roads on that side of the river.

The river is calm in our immediate area and allows you to quietly canoe or view wildlife.

The camp is remote with only a few people in the area, making this a favorite place for wildlife.

Butterflies and beautiful wildflowers are also plentiful.
